Introduction to Free Motion Emboidery Workshop
Michelle Corbin Design will be at From Loft to Loved, once again, where I will once again be holding a Beginner Friendly 'Introduction to Free Motion Embroidery' Workshop.
Friday 1st July 6-9pm
This Free Motion Embroidery and Applique workshop will show you how the needle of your sewing machine can be used to draw, write and paint. Creating beautiful shapes and details, and once you start, you will find you want to do more and more.
The session will include live demos by me and then a little time will be allocated for you to practice and get used to the technique. Once you have gained some confidence, it's time for you to choose your own design.
You will be provided with a choice of templates to use to get creative. There will also be a selection of fabrics to dive into, but of course if you have any pictures of inspiration or fabric you wish to bring along, please do so.
Threads and a Hoop will also be provided.
Who is the class for?
The class is suitable for beginners but you must have a basic knowledge of how to use your sewing machine.
What do you need to bring?
*You will need to bring a sewing machine with the ability to drop the Feed Dogs and that has a Darning Foot or similar. If your machine does not have the capability of dropping the Feed Dogs, then most machines do come with a plate which will cover them. It is important that your machine is in good working order, with a NEW Needle as we will not have the time to maintain them during the session.
NOTE: Please read your manual prior to the session and bring it with you
*You will also need a basic sewing kit - pins, needles and scissors etc
*Glasses if you need them
* Notebook and pen
How much will the session cost?
How many Spaces are there?
Where do I need to come?
