How are Michelle Corbin Design Keepsake Gifts & Accessories made?

Each item made at Michelle Corbin Design is lovingly created by hand in the heart of North East England.

What are Michelle Corbin Design Keepsake Gifts & Accessories made from?

Most items at Michelle Corbin Design are created from textiles.  Memory Keepsakes, are predominantly created from items of clothing that are cherished by you and therefore sent to me to transform.  Other designs are created  mainly from Irish Linen and Cotton, however they may be embellished or accessorised with vintage or hand dyed materials.  Some may even contain mixed media details.

What age do you recommend for items purchased at Michelle Corbin Design? 

Every item at Michelle Corbin Design is carefully created to the highest of standards, however due to the nature of some  items, they are not suitable for children under 14 years of age, and therefore should be used for decoration only.

Are all items made-to-order?

Most items are made-to-order, however some items are ready made and will be specified in the items description

How do I care for my new items?

As all items at Michelle Corbin Design are of a hand made nature, spot cleaning is recommended for the most.  Memory Keepsake Quilts should be shaken from time to time and spot cleaned if needed.  Should quilts and cushion covers need to be washed, a gentle hand wash with cool water is recommended and line dry. 

How do I pay?

Add your selected items to your shopping cart and when you are ready to pay, proceed to the checkout.  I accept Paypal, which gives you the option to pay via credit card also.

How will my order be delivered?

As my items are made to order the lead time can be 2 - 4 weeks.  At busy periods, this may vary, but I will always inform you if your order will take longer to process.

For Memory Keepsake Items, I do have a waiting list.  Upon your enquiry or purchase, I will instruct you of an approximate start date, and your Keepsake will be ready around 4 weeks from that start date.

I use the Royal Mail Delivery Service to dispatch goods.  For items under £15 I use 1st Class Standard Delivery

For items £15+ I use 1st Class Signed For Delivery Service.

Orders over £100 receive FREE Signed For Delivery

Please ensure your address details are correct on the checkout process, as this is the address I will post to.

All items should be checked on receipt and any issues should be emailed to me at info@michellecorbindesign.co.uk

How will my parcel be packaged?

Where possible I do like to use clean recycled packaging, and I do ensure it is of a high quality.  Your item will be packaged in Tissue Paper or something similar, to ensure you have a pretty parcel inside.  

How can I request a custom order?

Can I request a refund?

I cannot refund Personalised items, however if there is an issue in quality, then I will rectify, and cover costs of postage once I have inspected the issue.  

For a Refund, you have 14 days on receipt of goods and point of contract to request once you have made a clear statement that you would like a refund.  Any returns postage must be covered by yourself.

Refund will only be made to original account that paid for the item.

Is Michelle Corbin Design GDPR Compliant?

Yes it is.  Here at Michelle Corbin Design, your privacy is very important to us.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European privacy law set up to go into effect on May 25 2018. The GDPR regulates how individuals and organisations may collect, use, and retain personal data.

Michelle Corbin Design will hold certain personal data that you have provided in order to provide the best possible service to you as a customer.  These details would be:

- Your Name

- Your Address

- A Contact Telephone Number

- Your Email Address

- Personalisation Details

These details will be stored securely and only accessed by Michelle Corbin Design.  They will not be passed onto a Third Party aside from the Postal/courier service.  Here the only details shared, will be your name and address and if required a contact number.  I will keep your details in paper form and digital if an order form was supplied this will be stored safely and a digital copy will be stored too.  

I will also keep any Tracking of your order detail on a form to ensure I can keep Track of your delivery.

Any of your personal details that I have in my possession will be held for 6 years, thereafter they will be deleted or destroyed.

Photographs:  Occasionally I will share photographs of your item online, to showcase my work, but I will ensure all traceable personalisation that would identify any individual be removed prior to sharing.  If you would like to opt-out of this agreement, or you would like a copy of all personal details that I hold about you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
